Bordeaux Medoc Chateau l'Inclassable 2018

The Chateau l'Inclassable 2018 comes from an environment preserved by Nature that man's hand, in this disenchanted world, comes to defend with conviction!

A vintage of great concentration remains elegant and very digestible. It is extremely fruity and complex, with a beautiful creamy structure.

The Chateau l'Inclassable is classified as Médoc and is made up of a blend of grape varieties, including 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Petit Verdot, and 10% Merlot. Alcohol 13% volume.

The Chateau l'Inclassable 2018 Medoc is a delightful wine that perfectly complements the richness of red meats, such as entrecote steak or beef tenderloin. Additionally, its robust flavors pair exquisitely with succulent duck breasts and dishes featuring flavorful sauces.

The average age of the vines is 40 years. Harvest: Manuel. Aged for 12 months in 400 liters wood barrel.

Press review:

James Suckling 90/100 « A tight, chewy red with plum and currant character, as well as walnut and stone. It’s medium-bodied and solid. Needs time to come together and soften slightly. Try after 2022. »

Vert de Vin 89-90/90. The nose is aromatic and flowery and offers minerality, a fine power, and a good finesse of the grain. It reveals notes of wild cassis, wild/crunchy red berries, and small notes of lily cornflower associated with fine touches of racy minerality, Cuben pepper, and a discreet hint of spices. The palate is fruity well-balanced, and offers an acidulous frame, a small tension, and energy. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/crunchy cassis, juicy/crunchy raspberry, and small notes of flowers (cornflower, lily) associated with small touches of wild berries as well as imperceptible hints of toasted and fresh leather (in the background). Tannins are very fine and well-built. There is an imperceptible hint of cocoa on the persistence/aftertaste.

Andreas Larsson 88/100. Youthful dark purple hue. The nose offers some wood, leather, dry spices, and ripe dark berries. Youthful palate with a firm tannic bite, rather dense with crushed dark berries, plum, and cassis, fairly long but a bit backward and still youthful, needing time to soften.

Yves BECK-Beckustador 90-91/100 « Quel bouquet ! 2023-2033 »
-Jean-Marc Quarin 88/100

-La Revue du Vin de France 14.5/20 (January 2021)
