In 2010, Guy Baudin’s wine was refused the Pouilly-Fumé appellation—despite its quality.
Rather than compromise, the family chose independence.

“Fumé du Milieu” was born: a name rooted in place, with a quiet nod to that moment.
 
Today, it stands as a more personal expression of their vineyards—honest, distinctive, and true to its origin.
